Updated: Oct 16, 2024

Colleen Sheehan and the Chesapeake Sight Foundation (CBSF) were recently highlighted in a feature article published in the July 4th edition of the Star Democrat. In the article, Sheehan shared the story of how the foundation came into being and delved into her personal experience with Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP), a condition that has significantly impacted her life.

Sheehan detailed the mission of CBSF, emphasizing that all the funds raised go directly towards supporting the research team at Johns Hopkins University, under the expert guidance of Dr. Mandeep Singh. This team is working towards a cure for RP, macular degeneration, and other debilitating degenerative eye diseases that affect countless individuals worldwide.

One of the most poignant revelations in the article was Sheehan's aspiration to participate as a candidate in the upcoming clinical trial scheduled in the early months of 2025.
