CBSF Recipient Featured in Wilmer Magazine

[Easton, MD] (June 2023) Dr. Mandeep Singh was recently featured on the cover of Wilmer Magazine. Dr. Singh and his vision research teams are the recipients of all funds raised by a local nonprofit, Chesapeake Bay Sight Foundation (CBSF).


Wilmer Magazine is a publication of Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute. Mandeep Singh, M.D., Ph.D. and Jefferson Doyle, M.D., Ph.D. were featured in the Summer 2023 issue of Wilmer Magazine in article titled “A Whole-Person Approach to Genetic Eye Disease.” They were also pictured on the cover of the publication. Dr. Singh is also the recipient of the Macula Society Award.


Dr. Singh treats patients with genetic eye diseases of all kinds, including Colleen Sheehan, who is one of 1.5 million people worldwide affected by Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP), a retinal degenerative eye disease that deteriorates peripheral vision. Sheehan is the founder and director of CBSF, a nonprofit located in Easton, MD that raises funds to support vision research conducted at Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute. Specifically, CBSF supports Dr. Singh’s team of 17 researchers who work 24/7 to find a cure for blindness and other retinal degenerative eye diseases.
